*Note from Nina: I've looked this over from head to toe and can't find a brand or the name of a manufacturer. I believe it came from Weifeng as a sample tripod way back when. The quick release plate is 3.25" x 2.5". It seems to me that it will certainly hold our 5x7, 6x8 and 8x10 boxes just fine but I'm not sure I'd recommend it for a 9x12 box or a heavier set up due to the more narrow stance of the legs at their initial setting. And I do not know what the ultimate weight capacity is for this tripod but I'm sue it will do just fine for a smaller lighter set up.
