Robin Weiss

by Sarah Judson March 03, 2014

Northwest coast artist Robin Weiss has been drawing and painting his whole life. The plein air oils shown here are from a recent workshop in Mexico, which he writes about in his blog. (A little vicarious vacation for those of us still in winter.) He is a member of the juried site Daily Painters, which he credits with motivating him to improve. "I was inspired by the dedicated artists I met online. My artwork vastly improved as a result of this exposure and practice. Painting full-time now, primarily in oils, I hope to continue to grow as an artist, both in technical skill and artistic interpretation." At left is a still life from the workshop in Mexico entitled Coffee Pot Demo. He currently teaches at Knowles Studio & Gallery in Poulsbo, Washington.
