Bill Fletcher

Kentucky plein air painter and instructor Bill Fletcher will be offering three oil painting workshops this fall, including one in Louisville and one at Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill, a 3,000 acre living history museum about 30 miles from Lexington which includes costumed interpreters, forests, cliffs and rivers, a riverboat, 40 miles of trails, a stables, farm, garden and 30 restored 19th century buildings. At right is a 5x7 oil sketch entitled Shaker Morning. Bill has also traveled around the country and abroad to paint. Here is an 8x10 painting from Colorado entitled Near Kebler Pass (below). His note about it says, "Never forget your bug repellant when plein air painting in Colorado!"
