Carol Marine, Daily Painter from Bastrop, Texas

Yes, that Bastrop, Texas, as in "the Bastrop Fire." Daily Painter Carol Marine's home and studio was among the more than 1500 homes destroyed. She and her husband are thankful that they and their son escaped uninjured. Here is the page for donating to a fund-raiser for them. She has ten workshops scheduled each month in different parts of the country over the next year, and eventually they might decide to move to a different state. "I will be teaching in Massachusetts next week and then we will begin figuring out what "next" means for us. We are seriously considering abandoning this tinder box we call Texas."
