David McCullough

The great David McCullough was featured on PBS recently. When the interviewer said, "You yourself wanted to be a painter, early on?" he replied, "I still do! I paint all the time and I love it. And I highly recommend it to everyone. Get out there & paint. It's good for the soul."

He went on to say, "I also particularly stress to people who say they want to become writers, take a course in drawing or painting. It helps you to learn to see. And that's what writing is often about."
