Art at the Castle Retreats
A restored 14th Century castle in the historic Aquitaine region of southwest France is the venue for Art at the Castle Retreats, a series of week-long plein air painting workshops this summer.
Instructors include landscape artists Lynn Gertenbach, Helen K. Beacham and Andrew Gifford.
The castle itself affords many painting opportunities right on the grounds, and daily trips will be scheduled to picturesque sites in the region chosen by the artist.
Your host and owner of the castle is a collector of antique stained glass, medieval tiles, Gothic wood and stonework and a wide array of period architectural antiques that have been added to enhance the medieval ambiance.
