Ginger Whellock paints all around the western states, with a special affinity for water, her "
biggest challenge and greatest sense of satisfaction." Shown above is
Fall River on the Rocks, a 9"x12" plein air oil done in Rocky Mountain National Park. She also paints large (24"x30") studio paintings (below,
Lazy Afternoon) using plein air studies along with photos and "
a rich emotional memory."

Her
blog contains thoughts about the why and how of painting, getting organized, teaching and being in the zone. She has three events coming up this fall:
Arts at Denver's annual landscape show,
Art for the Sangres, an invitational benefit for the San Isabel Land Protection Trust, and her annual
Studio Open House on October 10th from 4-10 p.m.
